Alright, anyone noticed that there's a huge gap on the cast list between supernatural humans and wanderers? Yeah, the mods noticed too. And it's driving us all crazy. And we've been staring at the code long enough that we're going cross-eyed and still haven't figured out what broke.

SO. In case anyone's inclined to look it over and see if THEY can find out what went wrong, I've put the entire code for the cast list below. If you notice anything... let us know. Because we're out of ideas. *Headdesk*

Hey, look, I'm actually doing things!

So after going about 100 posts back on the Doctor's flist, I'm pretty sure I managed to collect everyone's most recent storylines and that they are all linked there. If I'm wrong, and I missed someone, by all means, let me know. This is what I get for putting it off for so long. Bad mod.

Now, if you'll excuse me, I have to figure out where the hell Romana has been lately, so I can bring the bitch back in. ~~Because yes, clearly the thing to do now is to traumatize everyone MORE.~~

An Apology from starletfallen

Hey.

So, earlier today, one of our players made an ooc post about how she was thinking of dropping the game because she wasn't fitting in.

I, for reasons that defy logic, decided to be a bitch to her, because I was frustrated and tired and just... having a bad fucking day. Week. Month. And that was out of line. It would've been out of line if I were just a player and it was WAY out of line because I'm a mod.

So. To Regulus' mun, I apologize. It was wrong at me to snap at you. I hope you won't hold anything I said as the opinions of all the mods, because they're not. I'm sorry I snapped, I need to remember that not everyone is as used to roleplay and the ways of RP games as I am.

Alright, so. There is a contact list.

Thing is, I know it's missing a ton of stuff. So do me a favor, go there and check it out, and let me know if I've forgotten a character, or a messenger, or... someone's contact info altogether... It just seems like the fastest and easiest way to get it all together.

New Species

The Charon demon finally got that edit it was needing. XD" So all of the demons and angels are ready to go.

I might be adding more subspecies in the future. I'm pretty sure all of the angel ones have been covered by now and it's nice to get some new-ness to that. So ideas for sub-species of angels and demons, let me know. I can't promise anything, but it'll at least help get my brain turning... >>

Very quickly...

Alright, guys, I've updated the cast list, PB list, and the wanderer list.

If your character/PB/wanderer thingy is missing from any of those lists, please let me know. It'll make me very happy. And I won't have to come hunt you down one by one. No one wants that.

And BY THE WAY. Just for the record? We don't have nearly enough demons. Or supernatural humans. If you're thinking of a new character, maybe play with some of those ideas. (Especially because the bad guys in this game are getting no love, and it makes me kind of sad.)

We're hoping to get new ~~blood~~ people in here to spice things up a bit!

So feel free to pimp this role play to your friends or on Role Playing (or other) communities taht might be interested in us, as long as you're relatively certain that an advertisement for this RP hasn't already been made recently in that comm.

There may be some kind of challenge... to go on. The person who gets the most people to join will recieve something shiny that has not been decided yet, but will certainly be very, very shiny and... you're really going to want it!

New Species

This is just a note to let you all know I wrote up a new species of Demon.

I didn't think the one worked, because it was too much like the shape shifters so there's an entirely new option for demons listed. Better check that out!

I'm, also, editing the Charun sub-species of Demon. Hopefully, their purpose will become more clear.

And there will be new supernatural human species in the future, because as the rift opens, it messes with genes more and more. New species continue to crop up all of the time. If you have any ideas for new species, please, let me know!

Frequently Asked Questions

1. When can my character come into the role play?

That is entirely up to you. If you want them to already know about what's going on and have been aware for a while or if you want them to just now be discovering their powers, walking through the rift, or awakening... that's all up to you. Feel free to contact other players if you want to establish relationships beforehand.

2. When does my character get his/her journal? How does that work?

When your character walks through the rift, awakens, or discovers their power for the first time, an appropriate journal will appear by their bedside. It could be a typewriter, a leather bound, a note book, that's up to you. They can choose to read other people's entries and choose to make their own entries private to specific people.

They can, also, comment on the entries that they read. The comments will appear under the entry with their name next to it.

3. What happens if someone gets their hands on another person's journal?

They can write in it and say whatever they'd like. For all intents and purposes, it will appear in everyone else's journal under the name of who own's the journal, not who writes in it.

4. What does the term [Locked to...] mean when used in entries?

It means that only the characters that the entry is locked to can read that entry in their own journals. The entry simply won't appear in anyone else's.

5. If I pick to use a fandom character, can I choose where I bring them in at?

Yes, if you choose a fandom character, you can bring them in from anywhere in their canon, even if their are other characters from that fandom from a different part of that canon. Please, make a note of just where you choose to bring them in from in their profile so that other players will have some idea (even if their characters are amusingly confused).

6. Is there an age limit on joining the game?

No, there isn't. Largely, because I have found that I've known 15 year olds who could write much better than 25 year olds. We judge applications on content and trust that if you're under eighteen, you will not click on threads with explicit rating.

7. How do my characters powers work?

That is up to the role players own discretion. Thankfully, powers vary in characters here like hair color and painting style. Powers, even of this world among angels and demons, are more individually specific than some wide, general guideline.

8. My wanderer doesn't fit __insert Rift-race here__ when it comes to their magic, elemental, etc. is this a problem?

No, it's not. Wanderers have absolutely nothing to do with supernaturals, angels, and demons. They are not subject to the same rules and stipulations. However, if it makes it easier on you, feel free to have your Wanderer become a supernatural, because of ther journey through the Rift, and use the already laid out stipulations.

Just don't worry about a Wanderer not fitting the mold.

9. What's the deal on Chicago? Is there anywhere else to go other than the Conrad hotel?

The world that this takes place in is a lot like our world in names and waysthat things happen, but it's different enough that even if you don't know the city well, you can make up plaes within the city to go and are free to take creative license with it.
